Sourcewell is a self-supporting government organization — a local unit of government under Minnesota state statute — that runs competitive solicitations on behalf of public agencies. In practice, that means:

• It develops and runs the RFPs and formal bids public agencies are normally required to conduct on their own.
• It awards contracts to the most responsive, responsible suppliers through that competitive process.
• It opens those contracts to any government, education, or nonprofit entity to use.

Eligible: government, education, and nonprofit entities.   Not eligible: businesses and for-profit organizations.

Participation is open to government and education entities — states, counties, cities, townships, villages, school districts, colleges, universities, and tribal nations — as well as eligible nonprofits.

Registering takes a few minutes and costs nothing

If your agency isn’t already a participant, here’s the whole process:

1. Check whether you’re already registered. Many agencies already are. Use Sourcewell’s Agency Lookup tool to find your organization and your existing account number.
2. Complete the online registration. Fill out Sourcewell’s brief participating agency application. No fee, no commitment to buy.
3. Receive your Sourcewell account number. Once your registration is processed, Sourcewell issues your official account number. That number is your key to contract pricing on any awarded contract — including Winter Equipment’s.
